In general, there are two types of fundraising distributors.
The first one works with product manufacturers to sell their products. A good example here is candy sales. The candy manufacturers do not go out selling candies directly. Instead, they rely on distributors who take orders from and cater to the fundraising groups. The distributor either carries an inventory or fulfills single delivery directly from the producers.
The second choice is to work with a company to sign up fundraising groups. In this case, no inventory is involved, except for few brochures that demonstrate the fundraising lines to the groups. The distributor is compensated through a ”finders fee” for ushering the group to the fundraising company they represent.
